Building More Tomorrows has partenered with the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP).

In November of 2008, The Building More Tomorrows partnered with the NMDP to bring awareness regarding the need to educate and recruit donors for the NMDP Registry.  Building More Tomorrows is in the process of filing to become a non-profit organization separate from the NMDP, while still working together recruiting donors. 

STEPS TO JOIN THE NMDP REGISTRY:

Step 1.  Confirm you meet basic donor guidelines

Step 2.  Complete the online registration form and order your tissue-typing kit for $52.00.  This step will take about 30 minutes.  There may be funds available to cover these costs; please check with any of the Building More Tomorrows Campaign committee members.

Step 3.  Use the kit mailed to you to get a swab of cheek cells.  These will be used to test for your tissue type.  For more information about marrow donor, plase contact the NMDP at, http://www.marrow.org/index.
